The richest poor man:

Abdul Sattar Edhi was born in 1928 in a small village of Bantva near Joona Garh, Gujrat (India). The seeds of compassion for the suffering humanity were sown in his soul by his mother’s infirmity.

He shuns publicity for the fear of becoming haughty. As the credibility and fame grew and the name of Edhi became a house-hold word, people started approaching him for becoming chief guest on special occasions.
In an interview given to a journalist in Lahore in 1991, Edhi said,”I want to request the people not to invite me to social gatherings and inaugural ceremonies. This only wastes my time which is wholly devoted to the well being of our people.”
Although Edhi has a traditional Islamic background, he has an open and progressive mind on a number of sensitive social issues. He strongly supports the notion of working women. Of the 2,000 paid workers of the Edhi Foundation around 500 are women. They work in various capacities in-charges of Edhi centres, heads of maternity homes and dispensaries and office workers. More-over, several women volunteers help Edhi Foundation in fund raising. Edhi encourages women to do all sorts of work without differentiation.

EDHI FUNDRAISING ACTIVITY:

We were assigned an activity "EDHI FUNDRAISING ACTIVITY".
We all decided that everyone can’t arrange a great amount at all. Then we limited our range that each member should have to arrange 4000Rs,500Rs from his/her pocket money and the remaining 3500 will be from family, friends and public.

And its Ramadan “as one of the pillars of Islam, zakat is a form of obligatory charity that has the potential to ease the suffering of millions. If wealth amounts to less than a threshold figure, termed the nisab, then no zakat is payable. If wealth amounts to more than the nisab, zakat becomes obligatory”.

We also decided to post #edhiforall on Twitter to be in trend and the time was of 22 April,8pm.We all batch keep tweeting to get in trend but we learned from the process and we will try our best next time.
It was of our whole batch idea and we really enjoyed working on it.

We also framed pics of our group members with having placards.

Through this activity we came out of our comfort zone,we learned alot, faced alot of rejections and they all maked fun of us.
One of my cousin replied me after seeing my story on WhatsApp that "also do chanda for me",I asked why and got reply "want to buy a helicopter".hah
But through this activity we interacted with everyone.
We all are of the think that if I’m ok and happy the everyone is ok and happy but that’s not true, half of the world sleep empty stomach at night, and we lay on the couch and thinking that everyone is ok.
Allah will ask from us about our neighbour’s,
"Do not eat your full while your neighbour is hungry"
We all should have to think about others. We should have to share our time money and food.

Out of this now the interesting point is we also make memes.

We laughed,we failed, we got rejected but we didn’t lose hope.
We all should have to do our best and to leave the rest to Allah
